The Wright Times is Wilbur Wright College's student-run newspaper.

 

Originally established in 1934, it went dark in 2018 & was resurrected in 2022 as a digital & print platform.

Jenin is a second-year student. She is Palestinian-American, and is studying journalism. She has three sisters and a three-year-old cat at home! She loves to hang out with friends and loves reading! She wants to immerse herself in campus life more. She hopes to shine light on topics around the world and relate them to Wright.

Luis is pursuing his Associates while working full time at the College. His interests include graphic design, which he does for both The Wright Times newspaper as well as The Wright Side, Wilbur Wright's annual Literary Magazine.

Emma is a first-year student all the way from sunny South Africa. She loves pop culture and always tries to keep in touch with the zeitgeist of today. Emma is hoping to build her portfolio with The Wright Times and put her degree in Visual Communications to work. Most importantly, she is looking forward to interacting with her new community and making new friends.

Jocelyn is a second-year student planning to study biochemistry. She is Cuban and plans to transfer to the University of Michigan. She enjoys simple things like baking or going for a walk. She likes creative writing, especially mystery novels.

Reanna took a journalism class in high school and still enjoys writing for people. She is excited to bring that joy to the Wright Times!

Wiktoria is a photographer by occupation but is heading towards creative writing/screenwriting. She's currently working on a fantasy/adventure genre novel. Her passion is medieval reenactment which she attends in Poland and USA, dating the Xth century. She also trains Sword & Shield combat, Muay Thai, and Jiu Jitsu.

Arielle is currently finishing her Associate’s before transferring to a university next Fall to major in International Relations. Arielle is excited for the future as she pursues her ambition of a career in law, spends time with her family, and enjoys reading and writing in her free time. Jacob is chasing his goal to be a sideline NBA reporter, and looks to get his start here at Wright. He is majoring in Journalism, but doesn’t want to stop there. One day, he hopes to run or, even own, a professional sports franchise.

Kyle is a first-year student at Wright College majoring in Journalism who is passionate about writing and interviewing people. Some interesting things to know about him is he has interviewed people at local festivals as part of his YouTube channel “Northwest Chicago Street Fest”; he loves to play guitar and write poetry in his free time; and believe it or not he was homeschooled K-12. He hopes that through tenacity and a positive attitude he can make students excited about the Wright Times.

Itzel is a Mexican-American Law and Paralegal student in her final semester at Wright College. Some of her hobbies include reading, walking, and watching retro TV. Her long-term goal as a freelance reporter is to inform Wright students and staff on relevant topics, improving her skills and techniques for the legal field along the way.

Alexandra is a second-year student pursuing her goal of being a neurologist. In her free time, you can usually find her reading, baking, listening to music, or dancing. Alexandra loves the intersection of science and the creative arts and is writing four books exploring this topic. She hopes to explore different types of writing and find new ways to connect with her community. ​

Aaliyah is a first-year student. She is majoring in Creative Writing and hopes to transfer to a four-year university. She hopes to start out as an editor, but would like to become a full-time writer.

Kristopher is in his first year at Wilbur Wright College hoping to become a video game designer, either in an existing indie studio or his own indie studio designing single-player 3D Platformer games and role-playing games, or RPGs for short. His goal is for the games to become popular with the general crowd and to be free from any of the constraints the publishers put on him or any of his future co-workers.
