Four students recently came together due to their passion for photography, explained Alexis Sandoval Velasco. "It began with a Zoom call. The president, Tyshawn Allison, gave himself the role and asked the other three people on the call to become the remaining officers, we were all honored to do so and we went from there,” Velasco said of the Photography Club's humble beginningss.
They came together to discover more about photography, and to have a creative space for students. “I joined in hopes of creating a space for like-minded people with a similar interest to be able to meet each other and socialize." Similar to why he created the volleyball club, Q said he wants to provide a stress-free environment for creativity, fun, and a break from educational endeavors. I want to create a place filled with people who help each other out and are open-minded individuals who can support one another.” The vice president, Adrian Quiijano said.
The treasurer, Fabiola Nunez Rodriguez, said "I am somewhat knowledgeable on how to take pictures. I also joined this club to learn more about how to take pictures. Overall I just want to be a better photographer.”

As a club, some moments bring you much pride. For the Photography Club, it was when they met up with Hui Min-Tsen, their teacher sponsor, and when they had a meeting to collaborate with the magazine club on an event.
At their first meeting, they got the first few members so the club is rooted in a sentimental way. What attracted them to the club was to learn the concepts of photography to grow and learn not as a class, but as a huge family.
Future events are taking pictures around campus, inviting guest speakers, doing activities outside, and much more. The Photography Club meets Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30pm in S-201. They are on Instagram @photographyatwright.
