An inflatable archway of two dead trees surrounded by pumpkins, a ghost, and a witch welcomes you into the Halloween party.
The Event's building atrium was decorated with Halloween banners, gravestones, ghosts, and colors like purple, orange, green, and black all around the event, accompanied by spooky music.
On Oct. 27 SGA hosted a Halloween Party from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Boxed slices of pizzas and drinks were provided to attendees and the Animal Care Society had a decorate your own sugar cookies activity. The event was similar to the Wilburpalooza event earlier in the semester.
The event ran carnival games that were led by Wright’s clubs and organizations. For example, the Phi Theta Kappa Society ran a bowling game and Stage Wright had a "Beanboozled" jellybeans game.
After playing each game, attendees were awarded tickets depending on the points earned. Attendees redeemed these tickets for Wilbur Wright merch like hoodies, t-shirts and Halloween plushies, among other prizes. The most popular item was the Wilbur Wright hoodie at 75 tickets that ran out fast.
The Gamers club, the American Chemical Society, the Great books student society, the Veterans club, and the Undocumented Student Alliance ran carnival games as well.
The costume contest, pumpkin decorating contest, and raffle took place in the last hour of the event. The pumpkin decorating contest had submissions done before the event.
The raffle awarded a Nintendo Switch. All the winners got to pick from Wright’s merchandise cart.
