Chicago's Updated Covid Mandates

Updated: Feb 13, 2022

As of January 3rd, of this year, the city of Chicago adopted new mandates in hopes of battling the new variant of the COVID virus. These mandates require any individual over the age of 5 to provide proof of vaccination in order to dine indoors, visit gyms, or any entertainment venue where food and drink is served.

This semester, Wilbur Wright and the City Colleges also adopted new rules in order to do our part in combating the virus. Before returning to school for this semester, students must provide proof of a negative COVID test dating back three days from the start of school or their first in-person school attendance. From then on, students will required to test weekly and provide proof of a negative test result.

Free COVID testing will be available on campus, or for any student wanting to test off campus, an option to upload their negative results on our student portals will be made available. The chancellor

's message to all students, faculty, staff, and administrators did point out that at home tests are not going to be considered, so the results will need to be from a laboratory test.

Pre-registration for COVID testing is available on the school’s website, scheduling an appointment for testing is also available there. Wright's Wellness Center team recommends to schedule an appointment before testing.
