After Super Bowl LVIII, Wright Times reporters, Jenin Hattab and Anthony Reed follow up with students and staff to hear their thoughts and opinions.

The Super Bowl is the final annual football game against the two best teams in the league. Superbowl LVII (58) was the Kansas City Chiefs against the San Francisco 49ers. This may sound familiar because they played against each other in 2020. The Chiefs won the 2020 game as well, defending their dynasty, most of the interviewees, accurately predicted that the Chiefs would win. This year’s Super Bowl was in Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, and Usher performed the halftime show.
Before the big game, Anthony Reed and Jenin Hattab, reported of the Wright Times canvassed Wright College to ask staff and students their opinions. “The 49ers team has a better defense and weapons on their offense. I’d put my money on the 49ers.” Coach Brian McKinney was the only person we interviewed who believed the 49ers would win.
On the other hand, Herandez had a remarkable sense the Chiefs would win. He confidently said, ‘They got it in the bag, this year KC is gonna take it.” We met up with Jose Hernandez after the game to get his thoughts, “I knew the Chiefs were going to win. It was very scripted. It was entertaining. [There are] good emotions all around. The halftime show was bad, not the best at all" he said. Hernandez added with a large smile. Despite his thoughts on the halftime show he was overall satisfied with the outcome of the Super Bowl this year.
This is the Chief’s fourth time playing in the Superbowl, third time winning, and second win in a row. Shockingly, by half-time, the Chiefs were down 10-3, they had an interception and a foul, which was not promising. Yet, Jose Hernandez was correct, “they are the powerhouse” By the beginning of the 4th quarter, the Chiefs were leading by 13-10. In the last four minutes, they were tied 16-16. The game into overtime after a successful field goal, the Chiefs defeated the 49ers 22-25 in overtime.

The 2024 Super Bowl was the most-watched telecast in U.S. history with over 123 million viewers. As usual, the commercials were unforgettable, with guest stars including Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez, Tom Brady, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. These commercials are limited to 30 seconds and cost around seven million dollars.
Superbowl LVII has become the most stressful and lively game in history. It had fans on the edge of their seats, a hyped Usher halftime show, with very entertaining commercials.
