Professors at Wilbur Wright College find support and camaraderie through their pets. Whether dogs, cats or fish, some of Wright's professors brag about their pets' unique personalities.
Psychology professor Theresa Simantirakis owns a Danish-Swedish farmdog named Lulu, whom she got over 13 years ago at an adoption center called Wright-Way Rescue.
She says Lulu makes her and her husband’s life better because they walk the dog together as a way to bond. “It’s a chance for us to connect while also having time with the dog. It makes us interact more as a husband and wife,” said Simantirakis.

Sociology professor, Dr. Sydney Hart, said she has had cats her whole life. She currently has two black cats named T’challah and Pandora, and an orange and white calico cat named Bjork.
While she said Bjork is more of an antisocial cat whose “only joy is food,” the bigger black cat T’challah is a “gentleman” who checks in on her to make sure she is doing well.
