The first half of the women’s basketball season has passed and the team is now returning post winter break for their final half. The Lady Rams are still chasing their first win this season, with a current record of 0-11.
Over the break, the Lady Rams fell short to Milwaukee Area Tech College (96-41) as well as Elgin Community College (79-39).
13 games into the season, freshman center Lydiannis Boutureira is leading her team in 81 total rebounds, including in the two preseason games excluded from the standings. Freshman shooting guard Angelisse Anzueta has recorded a total of 78 points across 13 games. Freshman guard Kalin Stanton and freshman shooting guard Kayla Jones follow closely behind with 74 and 71 respectively.
The Lady Rams were set to play against Highland Community College on Jan. 15, however, the game was canceled. The first game back from break was a home game on Jan. 18 at 1 p.m. against the College of DuPage, though they lost 87-14.
