Take Advantage of the Weight Room Open to Students and Staff

Throughout the spring 2025 semester, the open gym and physical fitness room have been available for students & staff to enjoy some downtime. With summer coming just around the corner, these next few weeks are a great time to build a fitness routine.


The physical fitness room is located in E023 below the gymnasium, next to the pool and athletic coaches' offices. The open hours are as follows: Monday & Wednesday -  3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday & Thursday - 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday - 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

To enter and participate, a Wright I.D. is required for sign-in. At sign-in, the participant must understand they are working out with weights and equipment at their own risk and are advised to use caution, even a spotter.


Especially on a busy day, some familiar faces in the gym create a hard-working, grit-and-grind environment that can help get through reps. Wilbur Wright also offers a weight training course in the spring and fall semesters that can earn students two credits.
